GLOW UP PROTOCOL The full system

Grooming · hair · beard · scent

Your haircutisn't wrong. It's unmatched.

Most men have been getting the same cut since school and wondering why it never quite lands. It's not the barber and it's not your hair — it's that nobody matched it to your face.

01 — PICK YOUR SHAPE

Four shapes, four different instructions

Look in a mirror and pick the closest one. Most men are a blend of two — take the nearer shape as the base.

Volume on top, short sides

Height is what a round face is missing. Keep weight and texture on top, take the sides down short, and the whole face reads longer. Avoid flat, heavy fringes — they widen everything.

02 — THE BARBER PART

Bring a photo. Not a description.

"Shorter, please" is a lottery ticket. Barbers work visually and they read a reference photo far more precisely than any sentence you can construct — including this one. Two photos on your phone is the single cheapest upgrade to every haircut you'll get from now on.

And if you keep a beard: the difference between a groomed beard and "didn't shave" is one clean line along the cheek and the neck. Two minutes with a trimmer. Wash it with beard shampoo two or three times a week rather than regular shampoo — regular dries out the skin underneath, and that dryness is where the itch and the flaking come from. Oil or balm daily settles the rest.

03 — SCENT

Two or three sprays. That's the rule.

DAY / OFFICE

Fresh, citrus, light woody

Something that doesn't fill an enclosed room. If people can smell you before you arrive, it's not working for you.

EVENING / DATE

Spicy, woody-amber

Richer and more memorable, applied to pulse points — wrists and neck — not sprayed into the air you walk through.

GYM / HEAT

Nothing, or aquatic

Deodorant is the whole answer here. Fragrance over sweat reads as covering something up, because it is.

04 — THE FULL SYSTEM

Grooming is the middle third of thirty days

A sharp cut over a shirt that hangs off your shoulders still reads as off. The order matters, which is why the full guide runs clothing first, grooming second, presence third — one area at a time so nothing gets abandoned in week two.

The Glow Up Protocol

Eleven chapters over thirty days, with the full haircut guide, both grooming routines, the fragrance table and a checklist at every step.
